Scott's been in Asia for a week and a half and when he's gone on long trips I usually get pretty casual about keeping the house straightened up, mainly because Scott usually helps me pick everything up after the kids are in bed. When he's gone I loose all energy to clean. After bedtime (which can last about 1 - 1/2 hours at our house - baths, scriptures, prayers, tons of books read, etc...), I come down and clean up the kitchen and then feel automatically zapped of energy. Hence, the house just gradually starts to get messy. This fort that the kids made was up for 3 days because I didn't have the energy to make the kids to clean it up. They had so much fun with it. They slept in it, took "naps", had a pet salon, etc... It made me remember that I don't need to spend money to entertain the kids.
