With much sadness school got out on June 11th. These are the reasons I had a heavy heart that day:
- It was the last day ever that I would have my kids going to the same school.
- It was Ella's last day of elementary school - on to Jr. High. I just can't be old enough to have a child in Jr. High!
- It was the last day of 1/2 day kindergarten for my little buddy. I'll miss him in the mornings next year.
- My house will not be clean again until September.
Ella and Caroline heading out the door together for he last time. Because they have a 4 year grade difference, they will never be at the same school again.
Calvin getting on the Kindergarten bus for the last time with his friend Missie. His bus driver was so nice and would often wait for Calvin when we were running a little late.
All of Cal's buddies at the end of the year picnic.
running around being boys - love that!
Cal was so excited to show me how he mastered the monkey bars.
Cal's wonderful Kindergarten teacher Mrs. McGough. He was lucky to only have 16 kids in his class.
Ella's friends - cute girls looking so grown up
Ella's 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Bohr. Ella had a great year in 6th grade and I discovered that she actaully has a desire to excel. I had been worried about Ella's laid back school attitude, until this year.
Cal told me before he left on the bus that day "this is my first day of the last day of school!" He was so excited about getting sprayed with silly string when he got off the bus.
I don't have a pic of Caroline and her teacher, Mrs. Monson. Caroline had a great year too and loved her teacher and all her cute friends. On to 3rd grade for sweet Caroline!
