Canning Applesauce

I borrowed a friend's applesauce machine and jar steamer and whipped out 13 jars of applesauce like nobody's business. It wasn't that easy, but it was way less intimidating than I had imagined, since I had no clue what I was doing. My mom came over to help and we had a great time canning together. My mom got so excited about it that she got the stuff for us to can apple pie filling the next week. The applesauce is delicious and it is just apples - nothing else added. Thanks Camie for the inspiration and equipment!

I never thought canning would feel so satisfying, but now I can understand why some people really get into it.
