We have been so proud of Ella this year. The transition from gymnastics to diving has been a wonderful experience for her and she had a great season. She practiced everyday (M-F) for two hours and was learning new dives every week. Scott and I knew nothing about diving and we were introduced into a whole new world. The swim/dive meets are something else and there is a ton of parent involvement, which is great and a little overwhelming. Ella's coaches are awesome and she is blessed to be on a team with some amazing varsity divers. Three of the girls are ranked in the top five in the state. With Ella only being in 7th grade, hopefully she'll have a lot of time to grow and develop in the sport. Ella's team won the conference championship which was really exciting. An added bonus is that we didn't have to deal with any Sunday meets and her coach was so awesome and let Ella miss practice on Wed nights when she turned 12 so she could go to Young Women's. I mainly took videos of Ella diving because the lighting was so poor for pics, but a parent took pics of the kids and put them on a website for us to grab.
