We had some camera issues, so most of our pictures turned out super grainy and it was such a disappointment. I guess our point and shoot camera somehow got switched to the manual mode and we didn't realize it. Oh well, we had an awesome time and I'm glad we captured some of the memories even though they are grainy ones.
We rented a house close to Disney with our friends the Davises and it couldn't have worked out more perfect. It was super close, there was plenty of space and it had a heated pool which the kids took full advantage of.
Scott and Spencer had down loaded wait line apps on their iphones/ipads and were whipping us around the parks making sure we had fast passes and short lines. It was hilarious to watch them work their magic and it was so nice to just let them tell us where to go. New Years Eve is the busiest day at the Magic Kingdom and it was CRAZY busy. We made the most of it, but were so glad to get back home and let the kids jump in the pool and relax.
We got the 5 day pass and visited all four parks - Magic Kingdom twice. Millie, Scott and I got sick the last couple days, so we stayed home with the four younger kids while Jace and Spence took the 4 older kids to Epcot on the last day. We had so much fun and have so many great memories from this trip. I had been waiting to do a big Disney trip until all the kids were old enough to go on most of the rides and not need to nap. I think this was the perfect year to do it!
the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom
this gorilla was totally posing for the cameras
Having fun in line!
We had to wait in this super long line to see the princesses. It was brutal and Jacey and I were on our last leg, but then to see Millie get so excited and talk about it even now made it all worth it.
This is what the others did while we were in line to see the princesses
It's a small world after all....
Lovin' the hot tub
and the pool heated to 85 degrees
thunder mountain...everyone rode it - even Millie
Millie's favorite part - "the princesses at Cinderella's castle"
So sad to leave and head back to the Arctic tundra.
