Uncle Bill (my dad's older brother) lives in New Orleans and sends us a King Cake every year. The kids LOVE it! This was the first year Millie really got the idea of it and was so excited to tell the kids when they got off the bus. The King Cake is a tradition during Mardi Gras - see
here for a history of the tradition. The kids are most excited about finding the plastic baby baked inside because whoever finds it first supposedly gets good luck for the coming year.
This package was at our front door!
This pic cracks me up because Millie was mad that she didn't get to hold the box all by herself. She quickly got happy about it!
The cake is filled with a raspberry cream cheese filling - yummy!
Calvin found the baby! Can you see the disappointment on Millie's face that it wasn't her.
Thanks Uncle Bill!!!
What a fun tradition. The robe looks great on Millie.
