Baldwin Family Olympics and Chocolate Cake

For FHE tonight Scott and I decided to do incorporate the Olympic theme into the lesson. Because our kids don't handle family competitions very well (think lots of crying and "not fair" accusations flying), we decided to have each kid compete in their own event. That way everyone could earn a gold medal and there would be no crying, right? Wrong...there was still crying. But not as much as there could have been. Here's how it worked - Scott asked each child 2 gospel related questions (Gold Medal Standards) and then they had to perform a feat of strength. Millie did a somersault, Cal did a double cartwheel, Caroline did a back bend and Ella did a back walkover. After each event we had a gold medal ceremony. The kids LOVED it! We celebrated with homemade chocolate cake - delish!

I really love this cake! My friend Sarah introduced it to me. It's the recipe on the back of the Hershey's cocoa container.
