Training



I big part of my life for the last month has been this training schedule. My friend Jacey and I have decided to run Grandma's marathon in June up in Duluth, MN. I ran it in 2006 with 3 friends and it was my first, so I was only focused on just being able to cross the finish line. Now, I'm wanting to improve my time, so we printed out an intermediate training schedule and have been trying to focus on increasing our pace. Jacey is good for me because she is super strong and pushes me along. I have a tendency to want to stay where I'm comfortable and I know I slow her down sometimes, especially when we're running outside. Now that the snow is almost gone and all the trails are clear, the long runs are getting so much better. Running in 15 degree weather on snow packed trails was not ideal, but it was better than running the long ones on the treadmill. Hopefully we both stay injury free and Jacey can pull me across the finish line come June.
